This year Sinj joined the European Walled Towns (EWT) association. The aim of this association is professional cooperation and the exchange of experience between towns whose main concerns include maintenance and tourist evaluation of those monuments. The walls of the Old Town Fortress are a valuable historical monument and a tourist attraction.

Therefore, active participation in the EWT association is yet another proof of the value of this historical monument, but also of the concern of the town of Sinj to preserve it and properly evaluate it.
