4th ''Cetina Adventure'' Adventure Race an International Race
On Saturday, 7 June, the 4th ''Cetina Adventure'' adventure race was held, organised by the Cetina Adventure Adventure Sports Club, with the help of the Svilaja Mountaineering Club, Osmica Adventure Club, Vlaji Sinj Cycling Club and the Dalmatia Explorer.
The race for the thirty four competitors (17 teams, each having 2 members) started near the Piccadilly nightclub at 08.00am, passing then through the Pavići neighbourhood by trekking to take part in canyoning through Sutina, and then again through Lučane, Zelovo and Hrvace by trekking (40km in total). The competitors then took part in kayaking (23km) from Rumin to Trilj where they had to perform a task consisting in rope climbing the suspension bridge in Trilj. After rowing, cycling took the competitors through Košute, Turjaci, Dicmo, Neorić and the Sutina river canyon to the winning post in Sinj.
It took the Municipality of Hrvace winning team (Stipanović/Smoljanović) eight hours to reach the winning post, the second place went to the Dalmatia Explorer team (Herman/Sinovčić), and the third one to the Again Second team from Sinj (Jurić/Režić). This year's race is of international character since a team from Slovenia also participated.
Within the ''Cetina Adventure'' adventure race the 2nd Urban Challenge was also held, with around 40 competitors. With the help of a map and instructions, all participants were supposed to find the given points all over Sinj, and this in 2 hours maximum. This year's subject was water so the competitors had to find all fountains and sources in Sinj.
The winner in the women's competition was Martina Dragaš, the second place went to Ana Aljinović, and the third one to Ivona Žitković. The winner in the men's competition was Petar Delaš achieving the result of 32 minutes, the second place went to Dario Kučić, and the third one to Nikola Saratlija. Among the children, the winner was David Poljak, and the silver medal went to Josip Kujundžić.
