Sinj Tourist Board Has Completed the Project of Marking Cultural-Historical Sights
Three years ago, the Sinj Tourist Board launched the project of marking the cultural-historical sights, with the aim of informing tourists and educating local population about the cultural heritage present in their everyday life.
Over the last few days, the informational plate at the Old Town fortress has been renewed, an informational plate has been erected at the entrance to the Sinj Racecourse, the former railway station building and the Litre housing complex have been marked, and three new tourist signposts have been erected in the town centre.
Over the last three years, the Sinj Tourist Board has won several funding competitions of the Croatian National Tourist Board awarding it HRK 86,000 grants for co-financing making and erecting brown tourist signposts. Nineteen cultural-historical monuments have been marked and thirteen tourist signposts erected as well as two plates of welcome.
The informational plates contain the information about the sights and monuments in both Croatian and English as well as the QR code. The QR (quick response) code can be scanned using smartphones, allowing tourists to get information about the cultural-historical sights of Sinj in a modern way that has already been applied in world capitals.
We believe that tourist signposts will greatly contribute to a pleasant stay of tourists in Sinj, particularly in this very special year in which we celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Sinjska Alka.
