Concert - ensemble Sudar Percussion
Sinj Tourist Board continues organizing the already traditional Music Nights. As part of this year’s manifestation, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the Town of Sinj, and the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, a unique ensemble from Samobor called SUDAR PERCUSSION will arrive in Sinj on July 7.
Since 2010, Sudar Percussion held an impressive number of concerts and tours both in Croatia and abroad: the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall (2012 and 2014), Split Summer Festival, Ohrid Summer, Podgorica, EXPO Milan Exhibition 2015, BUMfest in Slovenia, DamFest in Priština, Zagreb Cultural Summer on Bundek Lake, and other. Sudar Percussion successfully cooperated with numerous famous artists and ensembles: Zagreb Soloist, Stefan Milenković, Croatian Radio-Television Tamburitza Orchestra , Simply Brass quintet, I:N.K. Experiment duo, Matej Meštrović and Darko Sedak Benčić (trumpet), who is featured as a soloist in the OXYGENE project. One should mention larger projects such as: the Movie Score Project, M. Meštrović: Eat Suite, A. Vivaldi: The Four Seasons, C. Orff: Carmina Burana, Rock In, and the current „OXYGENE“ project by J.M.Jarre. Sudar Percussion are the winners of the prestigious 2015 Independent Music Awards with their album Eat Suite.
The ensemble features: Filip Merčep-marimba, Nicolas Sinković-electronics and percussion, Adriano Bernobić-drums, Aleksandar Vešić-bass guitar, Robert Batelić-piano and the founder and artistic director Goran Gorše-vibraphone.
In September of 2016, on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, Sudar Percussion promoted their first music video for the song titled Oxygene IV by the French composer Jean Michel Jarre and his discographer Francis Dreyfus Music, BMG France, who they are cooperating with at the moment.
Sudar Percussion will promote their Oxygene album as a multimedia spectacle on their big summer tour of 2017, and will also perform a few additional compositions by Nicolas Sinković in Sinj.
The concert will start at 21:30 in the beautiful Alka Halls.
Sinj residents and their guest will have the opportunity to enjoy a musical treat, because they are in for a true musical spectacle.
